Educated
at the Ringling School of Art and Design, McKissick's
paintings have traveled the globe, with selected exhibitions
in New York City, Chicago, Honolulu, South Africa and St.
Thomas, USVI. Special collections can be found at Georgia
Pacific in Atlanta, AT&T in Jacksonville, The Coca-Cola
Company in Atlanta, Umbro International in England and Phillip
Morris in New York City.
At
first glance, McKissick's lively impressionistic paintings of
people, animals and
landscapes appear effortlessly spontaneous, as though
conceived and executed in an afternoon. They are elegantly and
precisely drawn images with composition, color and atmosphere
deliberately calculated to evoke a specific emotional
response.
