Artist's
Statement
“A
movement of painters and sculptors identified as “Nature
Symbolists” have inspired me to create work that is about
the essential quality of nature. For me this is a spiritual
essence that is underneath the obvious form and can be sensed
with time and awareness. Surface and line are important
elements in my work. The mediums I work with most often are
oil paints and stone. I find both to be materials that have
their own inner qualities and are enduring over time.”
