Sarah has a BFA from Central
Michigan University and a MFA from the University of
Alabama. She has exhibited all over the U.S. and is
currently the Artist in Residence, Community Class
Instructor, and Art Reach Instructor at the Arrowmont
School of Art and Craft in Gatlinburg, TN. "The
inherent fragmentation of our thoughts is intriguing
because it is not always consciously understandable. I
use archetypal images such as an internal structure of a
building, a net form, or a geodesic dome as a trigger
for this exploration. I am attempting to create the
intangible thought through a thread line or mark made on
the surface. This attempt is a result of asking the
question: what is my relationship to other people,
things, and places?"
