Anne received her B.F.A. from Ohio State University and she has received awards from exhibits such as “Best of North Carolina Artists and Artisans” and “Art Calendar”. Anne’s work is on display in 12 galleries around the Southeast and in Private and Corporate Collections such as S.A.S. Institute, Duke Medical Center, Bank of Birmingham, Carolina Power & Light, Wake Medical Centers and United Health Care, Salt Lake City. Recently, Cunningham’s work was voted “Best of North Carolina Artists, First Place in Mixed Media”.
Artist’s Statement
“Since 1990, I have been on an exciting exploration using metals such as copper, brass, and aluminum to create large and small free-form shapes. Every day is an experiment -discovering new ways to texture and shape the metals, layering with papers, weaving cut strips, applying inks, dyes, chemicals and paints. With no constricting boundaries, my work continues to change and evolve.”
