Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas with a focus in Advertising Design. He then attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska where he was awarded his Masters of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing with a minor in Art History. From there, Michael attended the University of Memphis in Tennessee, gaining his Doctorate of Education in Higher Education.

Since completing his rigorous academic schedule, Michael has given workshops and taught at various universities, including USC Aiken, O'Moore College, and York College. The extensive list of Michael's exhibits span the southeastern U.S. and further. Michael's work is housed in many corporate collections such as Aiken Aviation, Bryan Memorial Hospital in Nebraska, First National Bank in Missouri, the James E. Rush Touring Exhibition in Iowa, and Sutter Heath in California.

Michael incorporates beautiful and vibrant colors into his abstracted landscapes. Not only does the technique in these works inspire, but also the semi-large scale allows the feeling of stepping into the work.
