Visual artist Randy Hanna, a resident of Columbia, South Carolina is known for his ‘tree paintings,’ landscapes and cityscapes as subjects for his paintings. Hanna’s latest series includes a number of Rothko inspired color field paintings. While Hanna enjoys experimental painting and exploring different painting surfaces, his emphasis lies on simplicity and color. For the past few years his focus has been on water media, primarily watercolor on clayboard and acrylic on canvas. Now he is experimenting with drawing, oil and multimedia.

Hanna holds a B.A. degree in Theatre and Speech from the University of South Carolina and is a member of Trustus Theatre board of directors, a TCG Professional Theatre in Columbia where he is a director and lighting designer. Randy is part owner of City Art.
