A native of South Carolina, Tim grew up on a tobacco farm in Loris. He left the farm behind to study art at the University of South Carolina. After earning a B.A. in advertising design, Tim worked as a designer for the University of South Carolina, and as the Art Director for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Currently, he is Graphic Design and Brand Manager for the largest hospital system in South Carolina, Palmetto Health.
Floyd has won numerous advertising awards including Best of Show at the Columbia Ad Clubs, ADDY awards and is a member of Who's Who in America. He has won awards for his fine art and was selected by the Cultural Council as a tree artist for the palmetto tree project.
Currently he is working on a series of paintings that explore the use of color and shapes with an abstract view of landscapes. He enjoys painting with both oils and acrylics on canvas and on board.
