The Vista Bank opened a new office on Assembly Street in 2008 that required art on the walls. In another office in Aiken, SC, watercolor paintings had been acquired. However, in Columbia’s Vista area, we decided with the client to use sepia tone photography by Ed Shmunes to not only be decorative but indigenous to the area. Customers are treated to several different views of the Vista and USC in the office areas. We felt that the sepia coloration would create a unified look in addition to the look of an older and more established business. The only color image is of the bank building itself at sunset in the Vista, thus bringing the contemporary Vista Bank alive.
